Dear
Prayer-Partners, After arriving in Jeremie on Monday afternoon, we had to hurry and get ready for the Friday arrival of a mission group of seven. Our house had been broken into the week before...they took most all of our food and many cooking supplies...this made it harder for Ruby in getting ready for the group but the Lord carried us through and I don't think any of us suffered from malnourishment. We were very busy traveling in the mountains...I was building doors and windows for work projects and planning and supervising new projects. I also did a preachers seminar and what a blessing it was to see the truth of God's Word affect these leaders in such a positive way. BUILDING NEEDS The building fund is depleted once again...but we are praying and trusting the Lord for great things. Ruby and I were so moved by the living situation of one of our faithful country preachers that we decided to start a new house for them right away. They built a little one room shelter to live in with their five children while we are building their house. Friends...here is the situation...it takes about $4000 to build a house and $8000 to build a church. We have four churches waiting to be built and four houses...the need is tremendous! We are praying that some churches will take on the project of building a church in Haiti...maybe some churches will have a special offering for the building fund...we will just pray and do what the Lord allows...PLEASE PRAY WITH US for this need!!! OTHER NEEDS Other smaller items much needed are as follows: keyboards, guitars, accordions, a complete drum set, Coleman gas lanterns, shoes (men's, women's, children's), men's suits for weddings, clothes of all kinds. TRAVEL SCHEDULE We plan to be on the road the last week of May until the 8th of July. We will be going to CA and to the Northwest and then back across to ND and then back down to AR. We will be leading a group of young people to Haiti the 18th of July (not to late to sign up!!!). I will be speaking at two conventions as well as working on a couple of building projects. We then plan to be back the third week of August and then return to Haiti for October through December. SORRY! I am sorry you had to wait so long for the newsletter. I had typed the whole newsletter from Haiti and we had a power outage that caused me to lose the whole thing! I tried several times and just said I would have to wait until I got home to Arkansas. Thanks for your patience...God bless. In Christ our Savior, Pastor Dave & Ruby
