"Ask and it shall be given unto you," Mt. 7:7
TEEN CAMP We asked, we received and thank you so very much for giving to teen camp this month. It was something like in Exodus 35-36 where they had to tell the people to stop bringing more offerings because they had enough, we had to say no more because we had enough. Once again, teen camp was awesome. It was the week of Mardi Gras, a popular time for camp as schools are out and it gets the teens away from the worldly things going on. We had expected around one hundred teens and one hundred and seventy showed up!
FEEDING PROGRAM Thank you to all who are giving to the feeding program, your donations of $10 per month per student is literally keeping some of these children alive as many go days without anything to eat. We are currently providing a meal every day to over three hundred students at two schools and we would like to provide the same to another two schools.
PROJECTS: Praise the Lord, projects are going great! We have finished the church building at DeChamps and waiting for the roof to be put on. This church was built from memorial offerings for little Hannah, an eight year old girl from Tennessee who went to be with the Lord almost two years ago. She had always wanted to help Haiti Bible Mission with building churches in Haiti, and this was her request before she died. We are also starting construction on a new school at Martine.
We have several more projects before us we ask you to pray about - we need help and we wait on the Lord to see what He will do.
GROUPS Two weeks ago, we had a group from Sebring, Florida for six days. They painted most of the school at DeChamps. Another group coming on Friday, February 15 for a week, and another group coming the last week of March. Lots of work to be done, and we still have openings for other groups who are interested.
MISSION HOUSE COMPLEX. We are renting a house and have to pay another $8400USD (12 months rent) in advance. Part of this money has come in and the rest is promised…praise the Lord! As we shared before, this place is good, but we are still limited in terms of space. The yard we have is shared with another house and garden. We really need a garage and a large depot for storing building supplies and tools. You can see that it’s important that we begin building a mission complex as soon as possible. The complex would include a small two bedroom house for us, a four bedroom guest house for groups, and a garage and depot. We have some land and some money has come in but only enough to build a wall around the property. Please pray for direction on how the Lord would have you become involved in this project.
SPECIAL REQUEST We changed our email address several months ago – it is now: drs@haitibiblemission.orgSomehow we lost all of our email contacts in the process. We would like for you to email us so we can get your email addresses again. Thanks.
In Philippians 2:17 Paul says he gets joy from being poured out in serving the people of God. Just letting you know we have a lot of joy and we thank all of you for being a part of that.
In Christ our Savior,
Dave & Ruby
