Many rural Haitian churches are
quite simple. The intense poverty of the church members prevent more
permanent structures from being built.
Some churches need need help in completing
their buildings. Here a temporary roof made of palm fronds has
collapsed.
Projects both big and small need your
support. Here is a church's outdoor toilet in need of some
rebuilding. Although the foundation and fixtures are useable, the roof
and the walls need to be replaced.
Rural pastors struggle just to
feed their families. With a crumbling foundation, bowed and broken
walls, this pastor can not afford to make the necessary repairs to his
home. You can help this pastors to rebuild his home.
Pastor Joel lives in a very
remote part of Haiti. His home is made of crumbling walls and very badly
rusted tin sheets. A new home has been built but none of the interior
finish work has been completed.
Completed Projects
There is a very isolated church
located far in the mountains. The pastor and church members have
completed the foundation and walls but needed help with finishing the
building. Dave Stockeland and a mission team finished the roof. A future
missions team will complete the church benches and other finishing
touches. Here are some before, during and after photos.
