Information for Missions
Groups
1.
PASSPORT:
v
You MUST HAVE a
passport, (not just proof of citizenship). Apply several weeks in advance
normal processing takes 4 6 weeks. Start by applying at your local post
office.
2. VACCINATIONS:
v
No vaccinations are necessary
3.
COST:
v
Round-trip ticket to PAP.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: you will be given a paper when
you go through customs in PAP: MAKE SURE you keep that paper
as you will need it in order to leave the country.
v
$155 for round trip airfare
from PAP to Jeremie, $10 for taxi fare between airports in PAP, $100 to Haiti
Bible Mission for meals and other expenses for 10 day stay, and spending
money.
v
Motel or guest house in Miami
or Fort Lauderdale (if necessary)
4.
LUGGAGE:
v
You are allowed two carry-on
pieces (one should total 45 in - length + width + height, and no more than
40 lbs); other piece would be a small backpack or briefcase.
v
Checked luggage ( 2 allowed;
limit of 62in and 50lb).
v
NOTE:
We suggest that you use your carry-on luggage for personal items and use
footlockers as your checked bags to bring missions supplies for HBM.
5.
SIZE OF GROUP:
v
6 10 people would be ideal
but we can handle larger groups.
6. LENGTH OF STAY:
v
10 days longer or shorter
trips may be arranged. Ideal schedule: Arrive on a Friday and
leave on a Monday.

ITEMS TO BRING:
v
Bible

Attire requirements
Women must wear modest dresses, skirts and blouses (we suggest cool and
loose fitting clothing), ladies DO NOT wear shorts or pants in
public modest length skorts or culottes would be great for work; also
bring head covering for church services; jewelry (as inconspicuous as
possible). MEN: Long pants , shirt, and tie for Sunday
services. All: Comfortable walking and working shoes; also,
footwear suitable for walking through water; cap/hat for sun.

Food: bring plenty of your
favorite snacks; jar of peanut butter; food for travel.

Pillow and large towel that you can leave
with us.
8. KINDS OF TRIPS:

Work projects:
Involves putting a roof on a church or
house, building windows, doors, church benches, and/or painting
v
Mission exposure:
travel to a different country church each day for maximum exposure to
Haitian culture and rural ministry of HBM |
