Dear
Prayer-Partners, TRAVEL REVIEW The end of May and all of June we were on the road visiting churches from Oklahoma to California, Washington, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana. During that trip we also visited family in Canada and North Dakota. The Lord blessed us with churches in which to minister while visiting family as well, for which we are very thankful. WE DID NOT GET KIDNAPPED!!! All kidding aside, we are so thankful for the prayers of so many. We arrived in Port au Prince, were picked up at the airport by our missionary friends, the Spaldings, and after enjoying an evening with them we left for Jeremie the next day. We were given good advice on how to go up and around the most dangerous areas and we arrived home safely…thank the Lord. TEEN CAMP Our newsletter is a little late as we hit the ground running here in Jeremie. Teen camp started as we arrived and the Lord opened the windows of heaven and blessed us beyond what we expected! We were planning on 54 teens and we had 94. Ten were saved and many drew closer to the Lord. They enjoyed the games and swimming and all ate better for those four days than they thought possible! Thanks to all who prayed and supported our camp. We are planning another four day camp during Mardi Gras in February (that is a popular time for camp as schools are out and it gets the teens away from the worldly things going on). SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM We are so thankful for all who have given to support the lunch program at our main Christian School. We face some big decisions - several have signed up for the $10 per month to feed a student, but we are a long way from the 150 sponsors we need for the school. We think it best to start with a meal of beans & rice one day a week, or maybe just bread every day until some more sponsors sign up. We are starting where we can and doing what we can. Thanks for your help! MISSION COMPLEX We are trying to look for land where we can build a mission house and guest house for our visiting groups. We have some good options but need much wisdom. Please pray much about this. Speaking of groups, we have five scheduled to be with us from February through April. SPECIAL NOTE: Groups, please check our website for information on preparation for mission trips to Haiti. Most of your questions will be answered there. THANKS ALWAYS We always want to say a big thank-you for your prayers and support. The work here could not go on without your help and we mean that! May the Lord bless all of you!
God bless you all,
Pastor Dave & Ruby
