Dear Prayer-Partners, Dear All Friends who support Pastor Dave for helping schools in Haiti, We take great pleasure to greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This little letter is to thank you for the money you give Pastor Dave to help us with our school here in Haiti. The support makes us so happy as our school is in great need. It is difficult for the parents of our students to get enough money to pay for books, uniforms, food and tuition for school. For example, tuition is $50 (about $6 U.S.) a year. For our fall semester the total we received in tuition from all the parents was $20 ($2.25 U.S.). So therefore you can see that the support Pastor Dave gives us is so important. We are praying much for God our Father in heaven to drop many more blessings on you. We pray the Lord to bless you and your family. Pastor Eric Pierre Does that not grab you!?!? The situation here in Haiti is so bad that it is really hard to put it into words. The school could not pay teachers, did not have enough pencils or paper or chalk...many students coming without books. What a joy to be able to help them teach these children as well as give them the gospel of Jesus Christ...I can't thank you people enough!!! LIFE IN HAITI Hey Glory!!! Ruby is doing laundry in Haiti with her little twin tub washing machine! What a great help to her and what a time she has trying to explain how it works to our Haitian friends. They stand there in amazement...they want to put their heads right down in the tub to try to figure out what makes it do that. They walk away laughing and shaking their heads. MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT A big praise the Lord is for His protection of my life. Since our last letter to you I suffered a head-on collision with my motorcycle. While I was going down the mountain in town...a guy was going up very rapidly...only on the wrong side of the road...we hit head-on and I flew right into him and his motorcycle. My leg was trapped under the muffler and I burned my leg quite badly. When I could stand up the skin was just rolling off my leg and falling on the ground. I got some good attention from our local clinic and from there on the loving care of my wonderful wife has gotten me where it is almost healed completely. I can't thank the Lord enough as it could have been so bad, but other than the burn, a bruised chest and strained right wrist...I am good to go and that is exactly what I have been doing. Just to let you know your prayers are very much needed even when you are not sure what for! BUILDING PROJECTS The building projects are a great blessing as we are seeing desperately poor preachers families put into nice little houses that keep them warm and dry. I also am busy building beds and tables for them. DONATIONS & SUPPLIES The many other donations of shoes, baby supplies, clothes etc just blesses so many people and for many it changes their families lives! Ruby has a real heart for these people and they can sense her love and compassion as she distributes so many things that help their lives. We have a group arriving February 4th and another group on April 8th. The supplies they are bringing will help many more of our Haitian brothers and sisters. We thank the Lord every day that He has called us to serve Him here in Haiti...and thanks to all of you for your help. God bless, Pastor Dave & Ruby
