Prayer-Partners, LAND PAYMENT We rejoice and thank the Lord that He has provided the funds for the land in Jeremie to be paid off. We had still owed $5000 on that land and now it is completely paid for…PRAISE THE LORD!! We shared with you before that we are looking for a larger piece of land…maybe just out side the city. We have received much counsel that we need a larger piece for the development of the mission. It does not seem that it would be difficult to sell what we have as we have already had some offers to buy it. We need wisdom and the direction of the Lord…this is all way beyond us to comprehend…we just want to be sensitive to the Lord’s leading and see what He is going to do. We appreciate your prayers and interest so very much. SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM We are starting a school lunch program at the Christian school that is part of the ministry of our home church. The students come to school hungry every day, and many return home to find no food to eat. Our goal is to provide a good meal every school day and we need help. Right now we have 150 students and we are praying for 150 sponsors at $10/month for 12 months/year. We have already started building a brick oven to make bread. We have other projects in mind for the future that will help them support this program themselves…but the need is great and we need help NOW! If you are interested in sponsoring one or more of these children you can designate your donation to the SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM. We plan to be able to make it possible for each sponsor to have a photo of the student they are sponsoring as well as making it possible for you to communicate with your student by letter. BUILDING FUND Since returning to the states we have had people and churches make commitments for the building of one church and three houses. We have three more churches and several house projects waiting for sponsors. We thank the Lord for what He is doing and we can’t wait to get back to Haiti and get at these projects! MISSION GROUP Our last mission group was a hard-working group that accomplished two big projects in a very short time. They made and mounted all the doors and windows for a church and also put a new roof on the Christian school at our home church. We appreciate all of you and the work you did! This group was also extra special to us as it included three of our boys…Mark, Luke & John. It is a great blessing to us that our boys are committed to the work the Lord is doing in Haiti. TEEN CAMP We are planning our first teen camp in Haiti for August 7-10. The cost for the Haitian teens is $20 ($2.50 U.S.) and most will not be able to afford it. Some church groups have already started sending money to help send Haitian teens to camp. If interested just designate your donation to CAMP SCHOLARSHIP FUND. CLOTHES & SHOES We are so thankful to the many who have donated clothes and shoes for the Haiti ministry. These donated items literally change the lives of individuals and families who are in such great need. Knowing the Lord as our Savior is the greatest joy of life (Luke 10:20), and we are also thrilled that our loving Savior would call us to serve Him in this ministry in Haiti.
