“The
Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” Ps. 126:3
TEEN
CAMP, FEBRUARY 2007
Our
second teen camp was February 19-21 and once again, the Lord blessed beyond our expectations. We had expected
about 80 teens and we had 127. Fifteen teens got saved. The pastor has been
discipling these new converts every Friday evening, and each one brings an
unsaved friend. Through this, at least one other teen has been saved every
week since camp. We are witnessing a real spirit of brokenness and revival
among the Christian teenagers.
MEDICAL
MINISTRY
This past year, we have helped a lot
of people with various medical needs. Through reaching out to the sick,
we’ve had opportunity to share the gospel and have seen miraculous healings
and families get saved. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, forever!
SCHOOL
LUNCH PROGRAM
Over
300 students are now receiving a meal of beans and rice three days a week
and two buns with peanut butter the other two days. As we stated in our
previous newsletter, teachers are noticing a remarkable improvement in their
students ability to participate in outdoor recreation as well as classroom
learning. As we get more sponsors for the school lunch program, we plan to
provide a meal of beans and rice Monday through Friday. We also would like
to be able to give each student a daily multi-vitamin and regular
de-worming. Worms are rampant in Haitian children and adults, robbing them
of what little nutrition they may be getting.
MISSION
TRIPS
We
had two groups this year. A group of four men from Missouri put the roof on
the school extension at Dechamps. Another group of ten from Tennessee came
in March and painted houses, churches and church benches. What a blessing!
We host mission groups from October through April. If interested, check our
website for more information.
MISSION COMPLEX
We really thank the Lord for His provision of a two story house we are now
renting. We live downstairs and the upstairs if for our mission groups. We
have land and we are still praying about being able to build a mission
house.
BUILDING
PROJECTS
We
just completed the parsonage and toilet at Te Rouge. We also finished the
kitchen for Dechamps School and started the kitchen for Te Rouge school.
Lots more work to do. We plan to build the new church at Dechamps and a new
school when we return in September.
SEMINARS
Dave has been busy as usual with seminars. The Lord has been opening new
doors of opportunity to train more pastors.
TRAVEL
SCHEDULE
We will be traveling to California, North Dakota, Illinois, Montana and
Canada to visit our supporting churches and family for most of the summer.
We plan to return to Haiti in September.
Thank you for your
prayerful and financial support.
