HBM - April 2025 Updates
A message from our CEO, Mark Stockeland-
It was a blessing to get back to Jeremie with Barak, Amrey and several other friends to do some ministry together. After several months away, I could see the joy on the faces of our team and we were encouraged to be back with them, as well.
Haiti is still incredibly unstable. The situation in Port au Prince is continually getting worse, especially with the gangs activity. However, our team has still been working hard ministering to the needs of people in and around Jeremie. We were also able to work on many projects, including hospital ministry, sports outreach, food distribution, discipleship, and roofing.
We have been staying busy with these projects, which is great because it is a constant, reliable way to be a blessing to people. Because of this work, many people have come to know Jesus. Lots of conversations are happening, and there are seeds of the Gospel being planted everywhere we go!
One of my best friends, Pastor Bill Vecchio from Fort Myers Community Church, was able to spend a few days with us. During his visit, he taught our emerging leaders and did some intense training with our top leaders. I am grateful for his investment in our leaders. I know it's going to have a huge impact for years to come.
As Easter approaches, we have so much to be thankful for. Christ rose from the dead, and he gives us hope of eternal life.
I want to personally thank everyone who faithfully prays for and supports Haiti Bible Mission and our family. We wouldn't be able to do any of this without your prayer and support. You all are a huge part of advancing God’s kingdom.
The last two weeks were really good for 3 Passions soccer ministry. We went to a witchdoctor's zone and shared the love of Jesus with the young men there and played soccer. Then we shared a meal together. Please be praying for this zone, as the men are open, but have a lot to overcome.
We also revisited a zone out in the country for soccer ministry and it was really good to see many familiar faces. We also had lots of new players that came and joined us for the first time. I was so happy to share Jesus with the new people and play soccer! Please help me pray that these men would see the value and importance of Jesus!

I started Haiti’s Heroes when I was eight years old, I am fifteen now! God has done so much with this ministry and the hospital in the last 7 years. Even though I have been spending more time in America with my family, Haiti’s Heroes is still helping the children of Jeremie, Haiti! I have an amazing team that has my same passion for the sick kids, and they are always ready to serve. They have been doing an amazing job going down every other Friday and praying and sharing the good news of Jesus with the families in the hospital, while also paying for their prescriptions. More recently we have had so many more needs due to all the people fleeing the gangs in Port au Prince and coming to Jeremie.
A lady named Rose came with her child who had a dangerously high fever. She had no money to pay for the medicine that her son needed to get better and had very little hope. One of our leaders at Haiti’s Heroes sat with Rose and shared about the love of Christ and the hope found in Him alone. We also provided the live-saving prescriptions and Rose was able to receive help for her son and he is doing so much better now!
In 2024, Haiti’s Heroes helped 172 kids, many were on the brink of death. We were able to pay for the medicine they need and also give out kits with food, water, toys, clothes, diapers, and wipes. We want to help more than 300 kids this year while making a Christ-like impact in their lives. There are so many kids and families in need at the hospital that we want to help, your prayers and support means everything to us!
