Pascal Milien

Pascal was born in Pétion-Ville and moved to Jérémie when he was two years old. As a boy, he played basketball in a program called GHATES, where he met missionaries from HBM. They shared simple messages about Jesus’ love, and even if he did not understand everything at that time, those words stayed in his heart for many years.

In October 2021, one month after his birthday, Pascal had a serious accident that required surgery. During his recovery, the mission welcomed him and took care of him with love and respect. Zacharie Vincent (The assistant director) gave him a Bible as a christmas gift, and Pascal began reading it every day. God used His Word to touch Pascal’s heart deeply, and this is when he decided to follow Jesus with his whole life. During this season, Pastor Mark played an important role in Pascal’s life. Pastor Mark encouraged him, taught him, prayed for him, and helped him grow in faith. He showed Pascal what it means to be a real leader, someone who serves with humility, listens to people, and stands strong in difficult times. His support helped shape Pascal into the leader he is today.

Pascal started serving in many areas of the mission: Haiti’s Heroes, food distributions, sports outreach, English and training classes, and any task that helped the mission serve the community. Month after month, he grew in character, responsibility, and love for ministry. He later received more responsibilities, working with the media team, coordinating Emerging Leaders groups, and then serving as a Top Leader. After more growth, he joined the office team with the Director and the Assistant Director. Each step showed how God was shaping his life with purpose.

People know Pascal as someone with a generous heart, a strong sense of justice, and a deep love for his community. He believes in the potential of Haitian youth and wants to see God raise new leaders who will help change families and communities. He listens to people, respects their stories, and always wants to learn and grow. Gratitude guides his life, and he sees every season : good or difficult as a lesson from God.
