October 2023 HBM Updates

Check out our latest updates!

We are praising the Lord that the Stockeland family with all FIVE kids were able to travel to the states. What a huge answer to prayer! Thanks to everyone who prayed and supported us during the long adoption process!

Check out this video with a quick update from Eldet and Zachary on the ground in Jeremie.

Haiti's Heroes Update

Losing little Charles last month was one of our hardest losses in a long time. He was so sweet and full of personality, and we worked so hard to save his precious life. I am comforted knowing that he is running and playing with Jesus; that maybe Jesus just couldn’t wait to be with him. While it breaks our hearts to experience the tragedy of losses like Charles, there are so many other children that are healthy and strong because Haiti’s Heroes continues to help pay for their lifesaving medicines.

Even the doctors and nurses have been expressing their heartfelt gratitude for our continued presence in the hospital. They are seeing kids that would not have had a chance due to funds, that are getting better and going home with their families. We are so, so, so  incredibly thankful for those that continue to give faithfully, you are making a difference! We get to see the joy on the faces of the children, their families, the nurses, and doctors…joy that knows death was around the corner, but because of your generosity, children are getting better!

Haiti’s Heroes continues to see the needs become greater and greater, and even more children are in the hospital, as thousands of families are moving to Jeremie to escape the gangs in Port au Prince. It is an incredible burden to choose which child we help and which we can’t, just because our funds are drained. Please don’t lose heart, and continue to share the word about Haiti’s Heroes, so we can keep helping more kids!

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for funds to come in to fix the HBM vehicles damaged by contaminated fuel. This caused $14,000 worth of damage and we still need $8,500 to cover the repairs.

  • Pray for wisdom for the HBM staff as they are overwhelmed by the many needs of their community. With thousands of people moving to Jeremie from Port Au Prince every day, there are devastating needs and not enough resources to fill them.

  • Pray for the conflict with the Dominican Republic and Haiti to be resolved as soon as possible. The closure of the border is preventing vegetables and eggs from coming into Haiti, adding to the food crisis. 500 people a day are dying of starvation in Haiti.

  • Join us in prayer as Moto Madness 2023 approaches! Pray for a safe and impactful trip for those who are joining us and pray that through these motos, people will give God the glory!
